JACQUES MOURY BEAUCHAMP born in 1949 in Paris, France.

He learns photography basics at his high school photo club and begins to photograph a large variety of subjects.

He studies art and design at the Paris Ecole des Arts Appliqués from which he graduates in graphic design.

He creates posters for exhibitions, concerts and plays, combining graphic elements and photographs, until his departure for the United States.

In New York Moury-Beauchamp studies commercial photography and then opens his own studio, working as art director and photographer for magazines, ad agencies and record companies.
He also creates PROSCENIUM, a business that designs and constructs sets for photography, while he continuing to devote time to his fine art photo series.

Upon his return to France, he creates with two other photographers LES STUDIOS OASIS, one of the first photo studios to experiment with computer assisted imagery.

The series "SIGNED AMERICA" is exhibited several times in Paris and then in New York.

The series "BLUESCAPES" follows, exhibited in Paris, Chédigny and Loches. It remains part of the permanent collection at the DELTA BLUES MUSEUM in Clarksdale, Mississippi (USA).

Moury Beauchamp’s most recent series "THE NEW DAWN", created after September 11, 2001, is exhibited at the “Espace Arabesque” in Loches, along with the works of eight other artists of the region.

Jacques Moury Beauchamp teaches photography and digital imaging in France and the United States. He was past chairman of the Visual Communication Department at the PARSONS SCHOOL OF DESIGN Paris campus.

His photographic illustrations have been published in more than fifteen countries worldwide.

Living in France’s Loire Valley since 1998, he is currently working on two new series : "CHÂTEAUX DE PAILLE" and "CRY OF JOY, CRY OF PAIN".
