WORKSHOPS

Durations vary and content can be adapted to fit demand (level, availability, age of the participants, etc.).
The workshops can be included in activities organized by cultural centers, libraries, corporations or schools.

.UNDERSTANDING NATURAL LIGHT :
Light is the photographer's basic material. It can be “worked on” by easy means to better our images. Through demonstrations and exercises, participants learn how to understand natural light and anticipate its modifications and then learn how to transform and shape it by using simple tools.
.INTRODUCTION TO STUDIO LIGHTING :
This is the logical continuation of the above workshop. Participants will discover studio lighting equipment and learn basic techniques. This will allow them to conceive their own lighting - or modify pre-existing artificial lighting - and create new moods for resulting images.
.FROM ALL AUTOMATIC TO ALL MANUAL :
This workshop is designed for the photographers who want to free themselves from the automatic functions of their cameras and master all the technical aspects of photo shooting. It will allow participants to photograph in challenging situations : low light, moving subject, multi-plan composition, etc.
.IMAGES AND NARRATION :
This workshop is based on the following principle : discovering the possibilities that lie beyond photography's simple documentary function. It relies on the imagination and the exchange of ideas from all participants and will lead to the creation of individual personal mini-books associating text and photography.
.VISUAL COMMUNICATION :
This workshop leads the participants to discover and put into use the basics graphic principles of visual communication. Primarily designed for artists, it will help to create invitations, posters, presentation folders and other promotional material (paper and electronic) for exhibits, artistic or cultural events in efficient and esthetic manners.
.PHOTOGRAPHIC PROMENADES (all levels) :
Choice of a subject, choice of a shooting angle, composition, creative techniques… are all part of this workshop entirely devoted to photographic picture taking. While walking through varied settings, it allows participants to refine their ways of looking around and take more original and personal pictures.
